On April 19th our family welcomed another four-legged creature. We brought home an impatiently awaited girl from the Finnish kennel Ikimba. She became Safiri, which means "beautiful" or "voyage" in swahili.

I am very happy and deeply grateful to Marianne Aaltonen not only for years of friendship, education, ongoing help, and patience, but also for her credit of trust given to me by putting in my hands such a promising puppy. THANKS MARIANNE!!! Safiri is smart, brave, and interested in everything around. She's a curious and quick learner. The house is full of her, she wrapped around her little finger not only Pasi, but my husband as well. At the beggining she was nipped on by her ridged buddy, now she fights back. Instead of sleeping in her place, she walks to Pasi's bed, lays down there comfortably and poor Pasi finds himself laying on the edge of his own materace or even on the floor. Sigh, women...
